Michael Michaelides was born in 1927 in Cairo. He studied Fine Arts and Architecture in Milan. From 1954 he lived and worked as an architect between London and Florence. He died in 2015 in London. He began painting at an early age, creating figurative compositions that focused on people and scenes of everyday life. In the 1960s he turned to geometric compositions, which led him to relief constructions of geometric shapes.
