George Manolis was born in 1975 in Athens. He studied painting at the A.S.K.T. (1991-1994) in the workshop of R. Papaspyrou. Despite his untimely death, he created a series of works, which are characterized by his personal artistic idiom, which had expressionist influences, and in which the human figure dominates. Colour was an important element of his compositions, often creating tonal juxtapositions, which were also accompanied by schematic ones. During his student years he participated in group exhibitions, and his work was also shown in solo exhibitions after his death in 1994.
