Ερωτικό

Στην αφηρημένη γλυπτική σύνθεση του 1992 με τίτλο «Ερωτικό» ο Pavel Medek παραμένει πιστός στις παραδοσιακές πλαστικές αξίες, καθώς το ξύλινο γλυπτό με τις λείες, καμπύλες γραμμές διακρίνεται για την καθαρότητα, την ισορροπία, τις ρυθμικές αρμονικές μεταβάσεις των όγκων, αλλά και την εξπρεσιονιστική του δύναμη.

Pavel Medek was born in 1954 in Brno, Czech Republic (former USSR). He lives and works in Thessaloniki.
In his art he fruitfully assimilates the teachings of Hans Arp, Henry Moore, Jacob Epstein and Ossip Zadkine. The main axis of his works is the female form, which he renders in the form of curved smooth volumes and a strong allegorical mood. Angels, heads, trunks, clusters with an accentuated lyrical-erotic element, as well as animal figures (fish, birds) complete the subjects of his sculptures, which are mainly worked in wood or bronze.
