Ξ. ΈντερKsenia’s Vladimirovna’s Ender (Slutsk, 1895; Leningrad, 1955) artistic growth was influenced by the atmosphere of her family; her father was a horticulturist, her two brothers, Boris and Yurii, as well as her sister, Maria were artists too; the whole family was deeply interested in music, poetry and the theatre. She studied at the Free State Art Studios (SVOMAS) in the workshops of spatial realism in Petrograd (1918-1922) under Mikhail Matiushin and worked with his “Zorved” group, in which her brother Boris participated, too. From 1920 to 1922 she took part in performances organized by Matiushin’s students and friends in honor of Elena Guro. During the years 1923-1926 she worked at the Department of Organic Culture of the Institute of Artistic Culture (INKHUK), headed by Matiushin. She took an active part in the spatial and color experiments of Matiushin’s circle. She participated in the Exhibition of Painting of Petrograd Artists of All Trends (1923) and took part in the 14th Biennale in Venice (1924).
