She was born in Athens in 1943. She studied at the A.S.F.A (Athens School of Fine Arts) (1975-1980) with D. Kokkinidis and K. Grammatopoulos and at the New York Studio School (2000). She also attended photography courses at the "Photokinesis" school in Athens (1986). Initially, she was involved in engraving but quickly turned to photography, which became one of her main means of expression. The naked female body was her first thematic units (Metamorphoses, Stigma), which were mainly photographic compositions. After 1990, driven by historical and archaeological impulses, she recorded on video actions that included her participation (Iera Odos), while she also created unique photographic units of works such as "Metoikesis", in which the artist photographs in 2007 the sculptures of the old Acropolis museum before they were moved to their new home and the project "At the Xenia of Andros, 2001-2012", where she collected an archive of images recording the condition and damage of the Triton Hotel of Aris Konstantinidis. She presented her work in several solo, group and international exhibitions. Among others, she represented Greece in 2005 at the 25th Biennale of Alexandria, where she was awarded the Golden Lighthouse for her series of photographs "Swimmers". She lives and works in Athens and Spetses.
