Celia Daskopopoulou was born in 1936 in Thessaloniki, spent the war years in Kilkis and in 1944 she moved with her family to Athens. She studied under P. Sarafianos and then, with a scholarship from the I.K.Y., she studied painting at the A.S.K.T. in the workshop of G. Moralis. In the late 1950s he travelled to Italy and in the mid-1960s he settled in Paris, where he studied freely and visited cities in central Europe, as well as London. She presented her work in six solo exhibitions and took part in numerous group exhibitions. She died in 2006 in Athens.
