Νικόλας ΚυριάκουNikolas Kyriakou was born in 1958 in Potidea, Halkidiki. He studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome (1977-1981) with G. Marotta, A. Ludovici and D' Achile. He was involved in teaching, teaching at all levels of public education and in private institutions. He has exhibited his work in about thirty solo exhibitions in various cities in Greece and has participated in numerous group exhibitions. In his work Kyriakou explores the expressive possibilities of colour and, while often taking visual reality as his starting point, he often ends up with works that move within the framework of abstraction. In his more recent works he structures the compositions in geometric volumes often one on top of the other, while also creating formations that have no discrete role.
