Μαριάννα ΣτραπατσάκηMarianne Strapatsaki was born in 1947 in Athens. With a scholarship from the Athens Technological Institute she began her studies at the Athens University of Technology and with a scholarship from the Academy of Athens she continued her studies in Paris at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts. At the same time she studied History at the École du Louvre and Plastic Arts at the University of Paris I in Sorbonne. Since 2004 she has been the initiator, founding member, professor and chairman of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University, Greece. In 2005 she worked as a visiting professor at the Athens School of Fine Arts, Athens. She continues her work focusing on the possibilities of the coexistence of moving images, sound and digital art, the dialogue between contemporary digital art and past cultures and the presentation of large-scale digital works in public spaces (projections). She has presented her work in dozens of solo exhibitions in Greece, England, France, Germany, Italy, Italy, Turkey, Chile, etc. as well as in numerous group exhibitions around the world. He lives and works in Athens.
