Γιώτα ΚαλλιακμάνηYiota Kalliakmani was born in Athens. She studied painting with Yannis Moralis and printmaking with K. Grammatopoulos at the Athens School of Fine Arts, from which she graduated in 1963. He created covers for literary books, poetry collections and magazines, while he was also involved in the manufacture of utilitarian objects and jewellery. She worked for many years as head of the educational department of the Museum of Greek Children's Art. In 1966 she held a solo exhibition at the Astor Gallery (with A. Komianou), in 1972 at the Zeta-Mi Gallery in Thessaloniki and took part in a series of group exhibitions: Panhellenic 1963, 1965, 1967, Astor 1966, Jewellery-Jewellery (Ericson Gallery 1978), Modus Vivendi (Espace Kreonidis 1993), Metahandiris Art (Diana Yiulia Gallery 1998, 1999), 2007, Places. An exhibition, an approach, a museum, a history (Benaki Museum - Pireos Street Building, Benaki Museum, Zappeion Hall, Athens School of Fine Arts, Alex Mylonas Museum, 2007), etc.
