Variation on the annunciation by Fra Angelico

Rafael Mahdavi was born in 1946 in Mexico to an American mother and an Iranian father. He grew up in Mallorca and later attended schools in London, Madrid and Vienna. He studied art in America and later settled in Paris. He worked in painting and sculpture, creating large bodies of work that reflect his multi-ethnic background. He worked in various professions and was a professor at the School of Fine Arts in Amiens and at the Parsons School in Paris. His exhibition activity was extensive, he exhibited his work in dozens of solo exhibitions around the world and took part in numerous group exhibitions and international events. I.A.C. He lives and works between Greece and France.
