Tissue I, II, III

Effie Halivopoulou was born in 1959 in Thessaloniki. She initially studied graphic arts at the Vakalo School (b. 1980) and then fine arts at the Pratt Institute in New York, where she continued her postgraduate studies. Alongside her artistic work, she taught painting, printmaking and art history at educational institutions in Greece and abroad. Since 2008 she has been teaching as an associate professor at Derre-ACG in Athens, while she has also been involved in designing sets for television productions. She has also held residencies in Spain and New York and has curated numerous exhibitions in Greece.
