Π. ΜιτούριτςHe was born in Petersburg, September 24, 1887. He died in Moscow, October 27, 1956. He studied at the Pskov Military School (1899-1905) and at the Kiev School of Fine Arts (1906-09). Also at the Academy of Fine Arts of Petersburg (1909-15) with professor Nikolai Samokish. In 1916, after graduating from the School of Engineering, he did his military service. He made many three-dimensional constructions (1918-22). In 1921 he met Velimir Khlebnikov and illustrated his hyperbolic poems. From 1922 until the 1950s he dealt with engineering and technology in their relationship with nature. He designed a structure that combined various movement principles. He taught drawing in the graphic arts and architecture department of Vkhutemas. He was closely associated with Vladimir Tatlin, Lev Bruni, Piotr Lvov and Nikolai Lapshin (1915-24). Member of the "Four Arts" society of Moscow (1925-29).
