Born in St. Petersburg, January 1877, died in Usikirkko, Finland, May 6, 1913, of leukaemia. From 1890 to 1893 she studied at the school of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts. From 1903 to 1905 she studied at the private studio of Yan Tsionglinskii, where she met Mikhail Matiushin. From 1905 to 1906 she studied at the Zvantseva’s School of Art in St. Petersburg.A professional writer as well as painter she publish her first story “Early Spring” in the Anthology of Young Writers in 1905. Her first book “The Hurdy Gurdy” was published in 1909. In 1912 she published the book “Autumn Dream” and in 1914 “Baby Camels in the Sky” was published posthumously. She was represented in the Exhibition of Contemporary Trends in Art, St. Petersburg, 1908; joined the Union of Youth; 1913-14 her posthumous exhibition in St. Petersburg was under its auspices.
