Panagiotis Kalogiannis was born in 1983 in Romania. He came in contact with art at a young age at the Art Workshop of Chalkida and with the encouragement of Hariklia Mytaras he studied engraving at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, under the tutelage of Manolis Giannadakis. He has received the 2nd Prize for participation in the 5th Biennale of students of the Higher Schools of Fine Arts of Greece (Crete), as well as an honorary distinction for participation in the 10th International Exhibition of Engraving Caixanova (Spain). His work, which is predominantly anthropocentric, is dominated by black and white compositions, which have been etched in the matrix of linoleum. He has exhibited his work in group exhibitions and international events: 1st Triennial of Printmaking, Helios Printmaking Centre of the municipality of Neapolis, Thessaloniki (2008), 10th International Caixanova Printmaking Exhibition, Spain-Ourense (2008), 13th International Triennial of Small Form, Poland-Lodz (2008), -2nd International Triennial Ex Libris, Lefkada (2008), The Hidden Dimension of Printmaking and Prints, RED gallery, Athens (2007), etc. α. Lives and works in Thessaloniki.
