Νίκος ΚουρούσιηςNikos Kouroussiis was born in 1937 in Mitsero, Nicosia. He studied painting and sculpture at St. Martin's School of Art and Horney College of Art in London. In 1982 he did a residency at the Pratt Institute in New York. His diverse work has been expressed in a variety of media and techniques: painting, sculpture, installation, printmaking, video, reliefs, performance and digital art. His early works, with a clear geometric vocabulary, quickly gave way to more abstract compositions, then expanding his visual vocabulary, he uses multiple media, is interested in space and creates installations and environments, which includes digital art. He presented his work for the first time in a solo exhibition in 1973 at the Desmos Art Gallery in Athens, followed by a series of solo exhibitions in Europe and the United States, and as early as 1968 he took part in group exhibitions.
