Composition I for Dimitris Mitropoulos

Vassilis Kalantzis was born in 1975 in Athens. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Thessaloniki and continued his studies at the Kunstakademie Dusseldorf (1991-2001) on a scholarship from the I.K.Y. In 2004 he won the first prize at the Biennale Europea Arti visive La Spezia. He lives and works in Athens and Berlin. He has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions in Greece, Germany, Italy, USA : Pan de angel (Hellenic American Union 2000), 4 Photographers - 4 Positions (Galerie Haus Schneider, Ettlingen/Karlsruhe, 2001), Breakthrough (Madrid 2004), Michel and his companions (Gallery NY house, New York 2007) etc.
