Φανή ΜπουντούρογλουFani Bountouroglou was born in 1974. She studied painting at the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2002) and then in 2012 she obtained a Master's Degree in Advanced Computer and Communication Systems from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In the framework of a scholarship from the START-Create Cultural Change programme, he designed and implemented the AstronART project, an original model of a mobile art and new technological media workshop for pupils, students and artists. She teaches as a special education faculty member in the New Media Workshop in the Visual Arts at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts, School of Fine Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Her main expressive medium is installations, which she enriches with new digital and interactive media, focusing on the relationships between art, technology, science and society. Part of her artistic research is a broader dialogue with the public and her work often includes workshops, talks and innovative interdisciplinary educational programmes. She is also involved in set design and collaborates in theatre productions. She lives and works in Thessaloniki.
