I am an infinity in the Becoming

Το έργο “I am an infinity in the Becoming” του Πάνου Τσαγκάρη είναι μέρος μιας ενότητας έργων του καλλιτέχνη ως αποτέλεσμα των αναζητήσεων και των υπαρξιακών προβληματισμών του για τη ζωή, το θείο, τον άνθρωπο, το πεπρωμένο και γεφυρώνει το θεωρητικό κενό ανάμεσα στις βαθιά ριζωμένες υπερβατικές δοξασίες και τις σύγχρονες εικαστικές αναζητήσεις. Χρησιμοποιεί ποικίλα υλικά, όπως φύλλα χρυσού, ακρυλικά χρώματα, μελάνι κ.ά. θέλοντας να αποτυπώσει στον καμβά ένα συνονθύλευμα φαινομενικά ετερόκλιτων συμβόλων, μύθων και παραδόσεων που παρόλα αυτά συγκλίνουν, ανεξάρτητα από τον χρόνο και τον τόπο δημιουργίας τους.

Panos Tsagaris was born in 1979 in Athens. He studied at the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design in Vancouver (1999-2004). He lives and works in New York.
His work emerges from his interest in the spiritual and mystical. Drawing on philosophical texts, he explores through his work spiritual concepts of transformation as they appear in various traditions and mythologies. Furthermore, he attempts to capture the fragile relationship between the visible and invisible, material and immaterial, sacred and profane.
He has exhibited internationally in Vancouver, Miami, New York, Athens, Berlin, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, Paris and Hong Kong, among others. He has participated in the 4th Biennale of Contemporary Art in Chanacale (2014) and the 4th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art (2013).
