Ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος με τέσσερα μάτια

Το γλυπτό «Αλέξανδρος 4 μάτια» ανήκει στη σειρά έργων Μελλοντική Αρχαιολογία, όπου ο καλλιτέχνης ανακατασκευάζει κλασικές αρχαιοελληνικές και ρωμαϊκές γλυπτικές μορφές σε νέες απρόσμενες παραμορφωμένες συνθέσεις.

Genko Gulan was born in 1969 in Istanbul. He studied Political Science and International Relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul (1987-1991) and continued with postgraduate studies at the New School University in New York (1999-2001).
Since the late 1980s he has been working on projects that are multi-dimensional and multi-faceted without focusing exclusively on one medium. He works with painting, video, installation, sculpture and digital new media. In 1997-8 he founded the Contemporary Art Museum as a platform and independent art space, currently hosting the International Web Biennial. He lives and teaches in Istanbul, at Mimar Sinan Academy and Bogazici University.
