Περισσότερο από έργο, η σύνθεση “Πειρατές” είναι ένα ζωγραφικό παιχνίδι ανάμεσα στον πατέρα και στην κόρη, οι οποίοι το δημιουργούν μαζί. Το έργο αποπνέει μια παιδική αφέλεια και μια αμεσότητα, ενώ διακρίνεται η αίσθηση πως το μικρό παιδί ζωγραφίζει χωρίς να έχει “μολυνθεί” από τις αρχές της ζωγραφικής. Πραγματεύεται ένα αγαπημένο παιδικό θέμα, τους πειρατές, ενώ η απεικόνιση που θυμίζει το στήσιμο ενός κόμικ με καρέ πάνω στη ζωγραφική επιφάνεια φαίνεται να εξιστορεί την ιστορία πειρατών.
Konstantin Zvezdochetov was born in 1958 in Moscow. From 1976 to 1981, he studied at the Stage Design Department of the Moscow Art Theatre School. He was a founding member of the "Mukhomors Art Group" (1978-1984) and in 1986, he initiated the establishment of the World Champions Art Group and the Avantgarde Club. He was one of the primary activists in the project exhibitions held in apartments as part of the APTART movement, which served as the hub of the underground art scene in Russia during the 1980s, incorporating street pop culture into the art world.
