Χρήστος ΚούντουραςChristos Kountouras was born in 1974 in Athens. He initially attended drawing classes in Thessaloniki and then studied plastic arts at the Saint-Étienne School of Fine Arts in France. Furthermore, in 2000-2001 he studied at the Comics School "Praxis". He worked as a museum painter for the realization of the visual material at the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki (2005-2006) and at the Museum of the Ancient Agora of Thessaloniki (2006-2007), while he has also designed the findings of the archaeological excavations in Veroia (2000-2002), Vergina (2002-2003 & 2014-1015), Potidea (2004) and the projects of the Thessaloniki Metro (2007-2013 & 2016-1018). From 2016 to 2018 he was the artistic director of the adult art workshop at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art, while he has collaborated with the magazine Hellenic Panorama, producing drawings of important architectural monuments of the city of Thessaloniki. He has published two comic books, which are adventures in classical antiquity of the 4th century BC, as well as short stories with historical themes, and has also collaborated in ERT productions dedicated to artistic movements and historical issues. He has exhibited his work in solo exhibitions in Thessaloniki, Athens, Nicosia and Corfu and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad, among them: Laboratorio di scultura Europeana (Mogliano Veneto, Venice 2000), Young Creators of the Balkans - Variations in a Balkan Space (Bey Hammam, Thessaloniki 2003), EXOSTRAFEIA/DIŞA DÖNÜLÜK (Sismanoglio Consular Foundation, Istanbul 2012), Mediterranean Echoes-Echi Oltremare-Echoes across the sea, (4th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, Casa Bianca, Thessaloniki 2013) etc.
