Giorgos Golfinos was born in 1948 in Velo, Corinthia. He initially studied graphic arts at the Centre for Technological Applications and then painting with G. Golfinos. Moralis and set design with V. He studied at the École Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris on a scholarship from the I.K.Y. with J. Lagrange and L. Cremonini, while at the same school he attended courses in materials technology with Abraam Pingas. He taught painting at the Department of Visual and Applied Arts of the School of Fine Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as a visiting professor. He held a series of solo exhibitions mainly in Greece, Cyprus and Belgium and participated in many group exhibitions in Greece, Cyprus, Poland, France, England, Germany, Germany and America: "Festivale International de la Peinture" (commendation) France 1984, 28e and 30e Salon de l'Art Contemporian de Montronge, Salon de Virty-sur-Siene, France 1985, "6+6" Benecetenaire de la Revolution Francais, Athens-Nimes-Paris, "In Progress" Germany and Holland, "Earth-Sing-Earth" Germany, "Dialogues-Dialogues" Palais d'lena, Paris. Biennale XIX Alexandria, "ATHINA BY ART", Athens 2004, 1st Thessaloniki Biennale, "Visual Panorama" Thessaloniki 2007 etc. He died in 2015.
