Labyrinth – Portrait Tribute to Sotirios Michos
Αλέξανδρος ΒάλβηςAlexandros Valvis was born in Athens in 1952. He studied interior design and furniture design in Athens (1969-1974), as well as graphic arts (1974-1977) and settled in Augsburg, Germany, where he trained in set design. He lived for 18 years in Germany (1978-1996), where he worked as a painter and graphic designer in Munich. Among his works was the graphic design of the Munich subway. He is a member of the Association of Bavarian Artists and a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (EETE). In 1996 he returned to Greece and since then he lives and works in Athens. He has held many solo exhibitions, most of them in Germany, and has participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and Germany. In 2003 he created the work Pisidia for the station of the HΣAP in Nea Ionia.
