Χωρίς τίτλο

Η καθαρότητα των γεωμετρικών όγκων και η στιβαρή δομή της οργάνωσης της ζωγραφικής επιφάνειας αποτελούν τα βασικά στοιχεία του έργου «Χωρίς τίτλο», το οποίο αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο χαρακτηριστικά παραδείγματα του έργου του καλλιτέχνη στα οποία κυριαρχούν οι δομές με τα κάθετα και τα οριζόντια θέμα και ξεχωρίζουν τα τετράγωνα και τα ορθογώνια σχήματα ως βασικά μέρη του γεωμετρικού του λεξιλογίου.

Yannis Michas was born in 1938 in Athens. He initially studied at the studio of K. Eliades (1955-1958) and continued his studies at the École des Metiers d'Art in Paris (1958-1962). He was a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece, the group "Processes-Systems", the Association of Contemporary Art and Société Européene de Cullture.
In both his painting and sculpture, influences from geometric abstraction and constructivism are evident from his early works from 1965-1970. In the 1970s he began to create reliefs and wall compositions, and in the 1990s he returned to painting mainly in oil. He passed away in 2008.
