Pino Pandolfini was born in 1947 in Gambettola, Italy. From 1967 to 1969 he studied in Bologna, in the printmaking and sculpture workshops of Marlo and Carlo Leoni respectively, and then studied painting at the Bologna Academy of Fine Arts (1969-1974). From 1975 to 1977 he collaborated with the 'Alzaia' cultural centre in Rome, participating in exhibitions and publications of art albums. In 1977 he settled in Athens and with his wife Dimitra Siatteri co-founded the "Athens Printmaking Centre", an open workshop that collaborates with artists, organizations, galleries and museums in Greece and abroad for art publications, seminars and exhibitions of printmaking. Apart from printmaking, he is involved and experiments with various materials and techniques, creating large installations - sculptures indoors and outdoors. Since 1974 he has held many solo presentations of his work and participated in group exhibitions in Greece and internationally, such as Intergrup, Essen 1980, Intergrafik, Berlin 1984, Arte Fiera, Bologna 1985, European Large Format Printmaking, Dublin 1991, Maastricht Biennale 1993, Venice Biennale 2011, etc. He is a member of the Chamber of Fine Arts, the Association of Greek Printmakers and a founding member of the Printmaking Centre Group, which has been developing a lively exhibition activity since 1989. He lives and works in Athens.
