Άγγελος ΑντωνόπουλοςAngelos Antonopoulos was born in 1957 in Tropea, Arcadia. He studied painting and set design at the A.S.K.T. with teachers D. Kokkinidis and V. After his graduation he taught painting at the Art Workshop of Chalkida (1987-1998) and from 1989 to 2024 at the A' Painting Workshop at the A.S.K.T. Initially he presented painting work, characterized by color restriction, simple and strict composition, and then he moved on to sculptural constructions, which are usually made of metal mesh and plaster. In both his two-dimensional and three-dimensional works he experiments in a kind of research that focuses on the lower limbs of the human body. Furthermore, he proceeded to make wall and three-dimensional compositions in which he combined various technical and expressive media. He presented his work in a solo exhibition for the first time in 1986 and has participated in several group exhibitions: Biennale of Painting and Sculpture, Skironio Museum 1987, Natura Matter Artis, Athens 1995, De profundis, Thessaloniki 1997, Shargan International Biennale, United Arab Emirates 1999, etc.
