Χωρίς τίτλο 1-Πρόγευμα στη χλόη (Le Déjeuner sur l’herbe)

Στην ενότητα έργων «Leisure Time» η Ελένη Μουζακίτη επικεντρώνεται στην απεικόνιση δημόσιων χώρων αναψυχής (π.χ. πάρκα, παραλίες, καφέ). Όπως η ίδια η καλλιτέχνιδα σημειώνει: «Μέσω της παρουσίας των ανθρώπων στους χώρους αυτούς επιχειρώ να καταγράψω ορατές εκδηλώσεις της έννοιας της απορρόφησης και της καταλλαγής που εδώ μοιάζει να κυριαρχεί. Επιχειρώ τέλος να διερευνήσω τις πιθανές κρυμμένες πολιτικές συνδηλώσεις της γεωγραφίας του ελεύθερου χρόνου».

Eleni Mouzakiti has completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies in German philology (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens - 1988 & University of Heidelberg - 1991-92). She holds a postgraduate diploma in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths College, University of London (1999) and a doctoral degree in photography as artistic practice from the School of Art, Design, and Technology at the University of Derby (2004).
Her photographic interests focus on public space (both natural and urban environments) and the concept of "absorption" in leisure activities, historical matters, memory, and the use of historically significant buildings. She has taught courses in photography and artistic photography at the Department of Fine Arts and Sciences of Art at the University of Ioannina (2002-2005) and is a facilitator of workshops on creative photography and contemporary photographic artistic practices. She is a co-founder of the photographic platform "The Provinces" and the "Photography and Theory Hub" in Athens, as well as the artistic director of the Photopolis Photography Festival in Agrinio.
